Hi. I attended the symposium at Chongzheng Primary School this morning, for the primary purpose of learning more about how to use podcasting and new software / hardware to teach secondary mathematics. I found out much from the presentations given, and here's some points that could be interesting to you.1. Research shows that mosquitoes don't seem to breed more after heavy rains, but instead more likely with higher climate temperatures. 2. Mowing the grass every day doesn't affect plant diversity, but it's still a better idea to keep it at regular intervals, instead of very frequently.3. Guys tend to have "rectangular"-shaped footprints, while the ladies tend to have "triangular"-shaped ones. (FYI all you CSI geeks out there...)As I moved around the display booths, I was pleasantly surprised to bump into my former teachers Mr Ho (Upper Sec Maths), Mrs Wee (Lower Sec Maths), Mr Wilfred James (Pastoral Care) who's also a past winner of the President's Award for Teachers. Ex-Dunmanite Lela (who teaches Biology at Temasek Sec) was also there, as one of the judges for the research competition. It was so nice to meet them all again The hairstyles may change, but those kind eyes still have the same sparkle. And hearing their voices again brought back fond memories of my days in Dunman Secondary School.
